my winter wardrobe
When I moved into my 350 sq ft apartment a year ago, I was ready for a major life cleanse. I needed to simplify, so I sold pretty much everything I owned: piles and piles of clothes, books, movies, all of my furniture and started over with only the essentials. I wanted everything in my home to be intentional since I didn't have space for more than that anyway. This last year in my new minimal home has been so so refreshing. I surround myself with only things that I love and I get rid of anything that doesn't light me up. This lifestyle change has been the most impactful for my closet. Yes, I outfit repeat a bit more, but I loveee my clothes and I am thrilled to open my closet and only see things that I genuinely want to wear.
Okay so now let's get to the fun part. While I know it's spring now (apparently), spring is nowhere in sight in Portland. We're still in full winter mode, so here are my winter wardrobe essentials--my favorite pieces that got me through this winter. The things I've been wearing the most, these staples are on constant rotation in my closet:
High Waisted Pleated Pant by American Apparel, [discontinued]
I'm listening to Verona by Lastlings.
