This post is inspired by beautiful, fresh summer fare. Peaches, zucchini, summer squash, apricots, figs, melons--the list goes on. There are so many important reasons to eat seasonally: you're more likely to be eating produce that's riper and has more flavor, when food is harvested in season it has a higher nutritional value, seasonal foods cost less at the grocery store, and you can more easily support local farmers which is better for the environment (and better for everyone).
