spicy ginger peach smoothie
This smoothie is inspired by the adorable, understated ginger root. This warming, spicy, cute little root has so many benefits too: it's anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, good for circulation, lowers blood pressure, and has cancer-fighting potential too. While it's officially spring, Portland is still chilly as ever, so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to throw in some warming ginger to cozy up this smoothie:
Spicy Ginger Peach Smoothie
1 1/2 cups flax milk (or milk of your choice)
2 frozen bananas
1 cup frozen peaches
1 vanilla bean
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 piece of ginger peeled (1-inch)
1 tablespoon coconut oil
1. Throw all ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth.
